Abbey Miller and her friend Jennifer have been picked from a live audience to take part in reality television show Makeover Miracle. Quinn Campbell, the producer of Makeover Miracle can see Abbey crumbling live on stage, and after she vomits into a wastepaper basket, goes to her aid, not expecting see such a sad, haunted look in her eyes. There’s something about Abbey that reaches out to him. The look in her eyes brings back long buried memories of his sister and his failure as a brother to help her. This is a story about one woman’s journey through harsh emotional abuses and the man who is able to make her believe in herself.

Set against the beautiful Dandenong Ranges, Makeover Miracle is a story about forgiveness, understanding, personal growth and, of course, falling in love with that one special person.

PRAISE for Makeover Miracle

'Excellent characterization'

'MAKEOVER MIRACLE is a story every woman could relate to, and makes one believe in the miracle of love and that one special man who could see a woman's soul, despite her appearance.'

Excellent characterization in a fairy tale of a story, what else could you want?'

Mr Campbell, commercial break ending in ten seconds,’ a voice sounded faintly through the earpiece he’d taken from his ear and which now hung around his neck.

Campbell. Quinn Campbell. His name snapped in recognition. It was often in the gossip magazines, linked with actresses and models – with pictures of them hanging off his arm. The guy was a stunner and knew how to use his looks. She’d often poured over photographs, imagining herself to be that woman on his arm.

Quinn took her hands in his and helped her to her feet. She didn’t have time to protest. His hands were firm, strong, and the skin was warm and soft. She faltered. He steadied her. Her hands moved to his upper arms. Gripped. Her breath stuck in her throat as her eyes flew to his. She was lost between the feel of heated flesh and the brightness of his gaze.

The audience cheered, cat-wails and screams capped the overall noise. He hooked his finger beneath her chin and she sank further into his eyes. Grey. The colour of a gathering winter storm.

 â€˜You can do this, Abbey.’

â€˜Mr Campbell, five seconds to air.’

â€˜Stop frowning and say yes. Don’t let this opportunity pass,’ Quinn said. The belief in his voice touched her somewhere hidden, somewhere so deep it spoke to her soul.

‘Four. Three.’

‘Say yes, Abbey. They’re cheering for you.’

‘Two.’

She nodded, a slight movement, and was rewarded with a smile that flowed over his face and reached the depths of his eyes. She was gone. Totally, completely, head over heels gone. She was the stupidest girl on earth. She couldn’t afford to feel like this again.

He squeezed her elbows. ‘That’s my girl. Now, back on stage with you.’

‘On air.’

Abbey floated back to her seat, unaware of how her feet moved to get her there. She glanced at Quinn again, but he was lost amidst a group of people. Caroline welcomed the television audience back to the show, the audience cheered and the lights were on them. But she hardly noticed. All she could think about was a pair of storm-grey eyes, and just how much of a fool she could be.

"I really like the concept of the book. The following of a reality TV show isn’t something I have read before. I enjoyed the uniqueness of it. All in all quite a happy read. "

I love the strength and focus on Abbey and Jennifer's friendship. Abbey and Quinn also developed a strong relationship as well. I was routing for all the characters from the beginning. I also loved that despite the makeover and tv aspect of the show, looks didn't matter in the end. Instead, character development was the main focus. I highly recommend this read."

"An easy story to read. I connected with the main character - Abbey - right away. Whilst some readers might find it hard to believe that an ordinary woman like Abbey could get with a high profile TV producer, the story does offer hope to the countless millions of us ordinary women who believe we have to be stick thin to succeed in life.I give this book full marks - five stars ***** - for addressing the issues of low self-esteem, lack of confidence and distorted body image. When heroines are normal, curvy women, or even women who are slightly overweight then you know the story is going to be a breath of fresh air. Great read for all lovers of this genre."
